About Us
Hi, Welcome to my online local bakery!! I am a lifelong Wisconsin resident - who has been working as a baker for many years. We bake from a fully licensed production facility and then bring out to our marketplaces or delivery. We are excited to announce that we are now offering our bakery products through Rome Country Meats & Deli 264 Geneva Trail Nekoosa, WI. Stop and see our selection there or place an order to receive there or meet the baker as needed. Come on in and find your favorite breads!
We've sold at the Rome Farmers Market for seven years and truly love the community. Such a beautiful outdoor marketplace. Rome Meats in only a block away from the farmers market square. We are very happy to know what you'd like ahead of time so we can bake those things special and set your items aside for your arrival. Then we aren't sold out of your favorites no matter what time you arrive at market! I have a passion for baking breads, scones, cupcakes, cookies, and other tasty goodies. Higher Grounds Bakery is best known for our line of Cheese, Herb and specialty breads such as Asiago Ciabatta, Jalapeno Cheddar Ciabatta, Tomato Basil Ciabatta, Cranberry Walnut and Cinnamon Raisin. Other items that set us apart are our pastries like scones; our most loved flavors feature local harvests such as cranberries and blueberries. Most often ordered scones are Cranberry Walnut, Blueberry Lemon, Toasted Almond, Chocolate Chip, or Herb and Cheddar. You absolutely must sometime try one of our jumbo Cinnamon Rolls or Caramel Rolls. Its a treat to make or eat them. Fresh whipped buttercream frosting tops our handmade rolls. We even make a highly raved about Maple Bacon Roll that's like all the greatest flavors of breakfast in one little box. Our cupcakes will make your mouth and your guests very happy. We love to hear our customers favorite recipes with our breads; Grilled cheese made crispy on Asiago Ciabatta, Egg sandwiches on Jalapeno Cheddar, Turkey on Tomato Basil Bread and Grab a loaf of Onion Dill to make an amazing Roast beef sandwich! Check out the blog at the bottom of the page, we'll post sandwich suggestions now and then. At the Christmas season we do tasty cookies by the thousands. Life in the bakery sure has had its twists and turns. No matter the challenge, nor how sticky the mess might seem, we'll keep rising to the occasion. Throw a little yeast around, roll the dough, do some more dishes, and guzzle plenty of coffee! I love my simple life. I love to bake, to serve my community, and to care quietly for my children.
